Björk: a new album to save Iceland

Since ever involved in humanitarian battles, such as the support to the independence of Kosovo and Tibet (it is symbolic the sogn “Declare Independence”), the Icelandic singer Björk Guðmundsdóttir is now sided up in favour of the safeguard of its country environment.
There’s a real risk that Iceland, one of the last paradises of the Earth, gets transformed in a huge aluminium foundry, and Björk gives the alarm through a condemnation campaign against some Icelandic politicians that would sell off their land to the International foreign companies. The consequences of this would be terrible: untouched places would be destroyed as well as enchanting landscapes of water and lava, that are unique in the whole world. This would be the ruin of the delicate ecosystem of an island so beautiful but at the same time so vulnerable.
To support this battle, the last album of Björk, produced with Thom Yorke of the Radiohead, is entitled “Nattura”. With this work the artist, besides singing the love for her land and the environment, she commits herself in a great protection project: the web site http//nattura.info, where you can download the song “Nattura”, collects funds to support the association that takes care of the Icelandic environment protection.
