Go to Iceland by ferry boat

Posted on May 13, 2009 by

There are different ways to reach Iceland by sea:
Smyril Line: proposes two ways, both including car transportation:

  • navigate from Bergen- Norway to Seyðisfjörður, stopping for three nights at Fær Øer islands on the way back;
  • navigate from Hanstholm- Denmark to Seyðisfjörður, stopping at Fær Øer islands for two days on the way to Iceland.

In summertime, this service stops also at Scrabster- Scotland and at the Shetland islands.
Eimskip embarks travellers on its cargo boats from mid April till mid October. The shortest ways leave from Goteborg and Fredrikstad.
