A stop by the Modrudalur farm

Travelling Westwards and going through the Modrudalur, right before entering the Road n. 1, you’ll see as a mirage:  the peat farm that is named after this tableland.

Iceland at the cinema: from the Edda to the Oscar movie Award

At the Oscar Movie Award 2009, Iceland presented “Brudgummin” (English translation: White Night Wedding), by Baltasar Kormákur. This movie was already nominated for 14 Edda awards (movie and Tv prizes) and indeed last November it won 7 prizes, among whom Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Scenography.
