Moon Landing in Iceland

Moðrudalur is a desert area on the North west of Egilsstadir. The region is so bare and uniform that some unbelieving say that right here was done the movie on the false moon- landing of mr. Armstrong!
The landscape has indeed a “moon aspect”, looking at it, you’ve the impression of being on another planet! There are round and waste rises, and valleys completely covered by grey and gravelly sand; here and there, you may see some bigger rocks, but not so many.
It seems that nothing inhabits these bare lands, but the unceasing wind that sweeps away everything, and creates a lot of dust. The winding road, that may be run only by a 4×4 wheel car, seems to get lost somewhere in this sandy area… till, all of a sudden, behind a rise of the ground, you see three white spots….. sheep! That’s just incredible. Even here there are sheep! How can they survive here?
