Reykholt is located in the Western part of Iceland. It is a famous historical site because here Snorre Sturlunson was born, and spent most of his life. He translated in prose the Edda in 1200 A.C. in this area, there are many interesting things to see, such as the Snorri thermal pool, or Snorralaug,; two old churches; many buildings dating back to the Middle Age.
Every year there’s the Reykholt Music festival, for classical music.
