The Hreðavatn lake, Paradísarlaut and the Glanni fall

The Hreðavatn lake lays by Bifrost, a small town in the western county of Borgarfjörður. A lot of peat and fossil plants were found in the area of Hreðyavatn. They witness the presence, in the past, of a climate similar to that of Central Europe. In the area there are many walks that wind through enchanting landscapes.
Southern than Bifrost there’s Paradísarlaut, the Paradise Valley. It is a wonderful natural oasis, crossed by the Norðurán river. Among the most enchanting natural shows, there’s the Glanni fall, that you must visit if you are nearby.
