As Iceland it’s quite cold, in order to grant their own survival, the Icelanders have learned to eat almost anything and most of all, not to throw away what can be edible.
The meal usually starts with small pieces of toasts and butter, a soup made of either vegetables, fish or lamb, that is very helpful to warm up the body and also to hydrate it; afterwards comes the main course with lamb or fish, and at the end sweets of course!
